TTT: Authors I Fell In Love With In 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke & the Bookish.
When I read that this week’s TTT topic was going to be ‘Authors you discovered this year’ I got super excited! I have read so many amazing books this year, and got to know so many amazing authors, and I desperately wanted to share my love for those authors with you guys 💖 So here are a few of the authors I fell in love with in 2016!
I fell in love with Heidi Heilig, not only for her amazingly descriptive writing and amazing characters, but also for being vocal about the things she believes in on social media.
I fell in love with Rachel Caine because her book, Ink and Bone, was one of my favorite reads of 2016.
I fell in love with Nina LaCour because the romance in Everything Leads to You had me smiling for days.
I fell in love with Mary E. Pearson because I’m still blown away by the world she crafted in The Remnant Chronicles.
I fell in love with Virginia Woolf because of her voice, and because she made me fall in love with classics, even though I never thought I would.

I fell in love with Amanda Lovelace because her poetry collection made me feel a lot, even when I didn’t want it to.
I fell in love with Nicola Yoon because of her amazing writing, her beautiful characters, and because she’s an incredibly kind person.
I fell in love with Tara Sim because I finished Timekeeper in 2 days, despite the fact that I was in a reading slump.
I fell in love with Roshani Chokshi because her writing is magical, and because she’s a beautiful person.
I fell in love with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie because she’s an incredibly strong, intelligent en beautiful person, inside and out. I could watch interviews with her all day. She inspires me.

Ah yes yes to Tara Sim!! She’s on my list this week too! So INCREDIBLE AND TIMEKEEPER IS SO ADORABLE. ❤ I also adore Heidi Helieg and Rachel Caine (although omg I still need to read the sequel to Ink & Bone…I'm so behind) and I'm dying to try Mary E Pearson's books eventually. So many incredible authors and I'm glad you've found and fallen in love with their words this year! Here’s my TTT!

I LOVE your list! There’s a lot of authors I love on this list. Nina LaCour and Nicola Yoon are two of my favorites. I really want to read Rachel Caine’s new series and the Remnant Chronicles. I’ve read other books by both of those authors and loved them. I read We Are All Feminists this year too. It was really thought provoking. I need to watch her interviews! Great list.

Oh this is an amazing list! Though I’ve only read The Kiss of Deception (still have to finish the series), every other book/author on your list is on my TBR 🙂 I’m especially excited to get to Timekeeper, Ink and Bone and The Star-Touched Queen soon. Oh, and We Should All Be Feminists!

I really liked The Star-Touched Queen, but it wasn’t my favorite. Other than that, the only author on this list I’ve read is Heidi Heilig. I really want to read The Kiss of Deception, Timekeeper, and Everything leads to You! Seeing them on this list only makes me more excited! 😉

I’ve only read one book on your list 😮 (The Star-Touched Queen), I read Nicola Yoon’s Everything, Everything but unfortunately I didn’t love it, apart from that I haven’t read anything from the other authors. Adding some of the books on your list to my TBR now though 😉
