Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018.
Hi everyone! It’s been quite some time since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday, but I was kind of stuck on blog post ideas so I thought it might be fun to start doing a meme again! I always loved this one, because I love making lists, I loved the themes, and I loved the entire community surrounding it. So, let’s do this!
For this spring TBR I’ve only used backlist titles, because I’m going to try and make them a priority the next couple of months. I’ve been way too focused on ARCs and new releases, and I’ve hardly been reading the books that are already on my shelf, which really needs to change.
Interim Goddess of Love by Mina V. Esguerra – Everything about this book sounds amazing, and it’s been on my TBR for the longest time. It’s quite ridiculous that I haven’t picked it up yet, so I’m definitely going to do that this spring.
The Edge of the Abyss by Emily Skrutskie – I’ve read the first book in this series about half a year ago, and I really enjoyed it, so I need to pick up the sequel before I forget every single thing about the first book.
Heroine Complex by Sarah Kuhn – I got this book as a present from a friend for my birthday last year, and I’ve told myself almost every single month since then that that was going to be the month I was going to pick this book up. Well, THIS is going to be the season I read this book. It’s going to happen. I hope.
Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee – This book is a middle grade f/f story and it sounds absolutely adorable, and perfect for the spring time. I feel like I’d be able to read this within a day because I always fly through middle grade books, so there’s no excuse for me not to pick it up soon.
Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee – My friend Laura really liked this one, and I really want to read it so I can chat to her about it.
Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee – Everyone I know has read this book, and absolutely adored it. I honestly haven’t heard a single thing about it. I absolutely NEED to pick this up soon.
Style by Chelsea M. Cameron – I’ve read Chelsea M. Cameron’s novella series, Violet Hill, a few months ago, and I adored it. Style seems to be similar to that series, in the sense that it’s a super fluffy f/f story, and I honestly want to pick it up right this second.
Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine – This is the 3rd book in the Great Library series, and I used to absolutely adore this series. The first book was one of my favorite books of all time, and I really liked the second one as well, but once the third came around I kind of lost interest in it… But with the 4th book coming out this summer, I really want to try to get back into the series.
Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World by Ashley Herring Blake – This is another f/f middle grade book, which is one of my favorite things in the world, and it’s written by one of my favorite authors of all time, so I don’t think I need to explain why I want to read this so badly.
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo – This book arrived on my doorstep a few weeks ago, and I immediately started reading it. I usually never do that, but there was just something about this book… I forced myself to put it down after a few chapters because I was reading a lot of other books at the time, but I’m definitely going to pick it back up soon, because what I read of this book was spectacular.
What books are on your spring TBR?

It’s a great idea to focus backlist books! New releases are great, but with everyone focusing on them it usually ends up with everyone recommending/talking about the same 10-20 books with little variety. 😦
I wanna read Heroine Complex so much O_O Superheroes are always the best. And I still haven’t got around to reading The Abyss Surrounds Us…
I personally ended up being disappointed by Tash Hearts Tolstoy, but I really hope you’ll like it more than I did ❤ Just be aware that Tash has a lot of insecurity about her asexuality and there's some amisia directed at her.
All in all, this is a great book and I hope you can read them all! 😀
