Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke & the Bookish.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is ‘Books I’m Looking Forward To For The First Half Of 2017′ and this is such an exciting topic! There are so many incredible books being published in 2017, and I had no idea which one’s to choose for this blogpost, so here are a few random ones. I might do a whole blogpost featuring all of my anticipated 2017 releases later, but that’s going to be a very long one.
The one’s I’m most excited about are probably The Gauntlet, which is described on Goodreads as “steampunk Jumanji with a Middle Eastern flair”, When Dimple Met Rishi, which is about an arranged marriage and a summer camp, and The Upside of Unrequited. I don’t know a lot about what the last one’s about, but I love Becky Albertalli, and Hazel’s blogpost about it made me want to pick it up right this second.

I’m so looking forward to The Upside of Unrequited, When Dimple met Rishi and The Gentleman’s Guide as well 🙂 The Gauntlet sounds amazing as well, definitely adding to my TBR. Great list!

I’ve seen The Gauntlet a bunch of times in today’s TTT and now I’m intrigued, plus that “steampunk Jumanji with a Middle Eastern flair” description sealed the deal. This is a great list and thank you for making a thread of diverse reads for 2017!! We need more diverse books indeed. Here’s my TTT!

Steampunk jumanji with a Middle Eastern flair???? YES PLEASE! That sounds fabulous and I haven’t seen it anywhere so far today. Great choices!

Great list!! I also don’t remember what The Upside of Unrequited is all about buuuut I love Simon VS the Homo Sapiens Agenda and that’s that hahaha 😛 also The Gauntlet and When Dimple Met Rishi sound really good, you definitely had me at ‘arranged marriage’ it’s like one of my favorite trope ever ❤

I don’t think I’ve ever read books featuring the ‘arranged marriage’ trope except for the Magnus Chase books, but I’d love to read more! It sounds amazing ❤

That description of The Gauntlet makes me want to read it ASAP! I watched Jumanji last year for the first time since I was younger and it made me fall in love with it all over again. Great list! 🙂

Let me tell you a secret: I had no idea what Jumanji was! I had to google it after reading the description of the book, haha. I need to watch it soon, because it sounds like so much fun! 🙂

Oooh!! There are some great books on this list. I’m so excited for several of them. I’ve read Becky’s book and it’s fabulous. Heidi’s book was on my list, but I ended up taking it off for Blacksouls because I have Ship, but not Blacksouls… I hope you love all of them!

I only just heard of The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue and #NEED. It’s like one of my top anticipated books now.😂 And I can’t wait for Dimple and Rishi and The Ship Beyond time too, eeeeep. So many gorgeous books are coming. IT’S GOING TO BE GREAT.
